Trapped / 1999

I am trapped inside a world
of pain that no one sees
where no one knows the reasons
for the tears and broken dreams

luckily there are the few
with the power to make things right
but even they can’t stop the pain
that haunts me in the night

and though I know they try to see
I fear they never will
and I’ll forever be burning
in this frightening pit of hell
